Our holograms combine a variety of special technologies that give them a uniqueness like a DNA string. Our Nanogram™ based on the Nanogram™-technology developed by The Hologram Company, which allows us to guarantee 100% counterfeit protection. One of these security technologies is electron beam lithography (e-beam), which allows us to emboss security features with a resolution of up to 10 nm (nanometers), ensuring visually appealing 100% product and brand protection.
In addition, our holograms protect against reuse, as the delamination effect makes even the smallest attempts at manipulation visible by partially destroying the film. In combination with the tamper-evident effect, residues are left on the product surface.
100% counterfeit protection at banknote level
NanogramTM technology combines overt and covert security features in 4 security levels. As a result, our Nanogram™ offers 100% counterfeit protection at banknote level. The first security level comprises the visible elements that are used for verification by the customer and can therefore be recognized without any tools, making verification quick and uncomplicated. A classic element is the Vertical Switch Effect, a change from the 3D element to a flat image when the label is turned. The second security level is used for verification by the customs authorities. Here, overt and covert security elements are combined. In order to make work processes at customs borders as efficient as possible, covert elements can be read with the help of light sources such as flashlights, for example. The third security level comprises covert security elements that are used for verification by internal controllers. The microtexts used here, starting at 200 µ to 25 µ, and nano texts with a character height of 5 µ, can only be read with the aid of a magnifying glass or microscope. The invisible element of the fourth security level, the unique nanostructure of the NanogramTM, can only be verified in the laboratory using a forensic analysis.
